BACKGROUND

Braedon spent two years studying contemporary Music at Humber College in Toronto and has also studied piano and violin through the Royal Conservatory of Music. Braedon then worked for two years teaching piano, violin and vocal lessons at Addison Music Learning Centre. Having a very musical upbringing, he played for several years in a family band with his sisters and parents.  Braedon started out on fiddle at 10 yrs old, later branching out to other instruments and becoming a talented multi-instrumentalist. He has performed mostly in his family band, The Family Quarles, who have amazed audiences with their high energy blend of celtic, East Coast and olde tyme fiddling nearly everywhere in Southern Ontario, from weddings to folk festivals. With the family band, he plays fiddle, guitar, mandolin, keyboard and occasionally does some step-dancing. Braedon has also stepped in as a side musician for the bands Stringer Lake and Painted Lions.

Braedon has studied violin/ fiddle with incredible players such as Phil Howes, Shane Cook, Matthew Johnson, Greg Paskuruk, Drew Jurecka  and many more. He has studied piano with Greg Paskuruk and Debbie Herriot-Howes and he is self-taught on guitar studying the amazing finger style of Carl Perkins, Wendell Ferguson and Don Ross, among others. Braedon is also a singer, a passion he discovered in elementary school, and his training largely from performing musical theatre in Unionville High Schools Arts York Drama program.

Braedon is a passionate teacher and likes to explore music in a way that his students learn by having fun.
